About Islamic Prayer Times
The five daily prayers (Salah) are one of the Five Pillars of Islam and are obligatory for all adult Muslims. The prayer times are determined by the position of the sun and vary by geographical location and date.
The Five Daily Prayers
- Fajr: Dawn prayer, before sunrise
- Dhuhr: Midday prayer, after the sun passes its zenith
- Asr: Afternoon prayer, in the late afternoon
- Maghrib: Sunset prayer, just after sunset
- Isha: Night prayer, after twilight disappears
Qibla Direction
Muslims face the Kaaba in Mecca (Qibla) during prayer. Our app calculates the precise direction from any location on Earth to the Holy Kaaba using great circle calculations.
